CAD CAM CAE

The first thing you should know about these three systems is that the “CA” in their abbreviations means Computer-Aided. All three systems require computers to carry out their processes. For CAD, the different letter means Design, for CAE, Engineering, and for CAM, it’s Manufacturing. CAD software is used to create the model, CAM is used to simulate the manufacturing process, and CAE is used to optimize the product.

Grinding

We use various grinding machines with an abrasive wheel to cut materials with precision specifications or rough-processed products. Rough-processed products are used to prepare materials for finishing and semi-finishing to increase the efficiency of the final processing steps.

Plasma Cutting

Plasma cutting is a process that uses a high-velocity jet of ionized gas that is sent from a constriction orifice. The high velocity of the ionized gas, which is the plasma, conducts electricity from the plasma torch to the workpiece. The plasma heats the workpiece, melting the material. The high-velocity flow of the ionized gas mechanically blows the molten metal, breaking the material.

Automation

Automation is the act and the consequence of automating. This verb, in turn, alludes to making certain actions become automatic (that is, they develop on their own and without the direct participation of an individual). The concept is usually used in the field of industry with reference to the system that allows a machine to develop certain processes or perform tasks without human intervention. Automation saves time and, often, money.

CNC

The process by which machining parts are manufactured with the help of computers that control the machine tools. Thanks to Computer Numerical Control (CNC) the manufacturing process of the parts is automated and use a set of instructions to control the machining through a program with the minimum human intervention. This greatly increase accuracy and reduces the time required to produce products.

TIG MIG Welding

TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) is a type of welding that is highly demanded and well priced in the labor field. It uses alternating current and is characterized by the use of a permanent tungsten electrode. Sometimes we can find it alloyed with thorium or zirconium in percentages no higher than 2%. At present, thorium is prohibited as it is an element that is considerably harmful to health. Tungsten due to the high melting temperature of 3,410 ° C hardly wear after prolonged use. The most commonly used gases are Aragon and helium, or a mixture of both.
